Seven Corporal Works of Mercy
1st “Feed the Hungry”
“Anyone who has two tunics must share with the one who has none, and anyone with something to eat must do the same.” (Lk 3:11)
Why is there hunger in the first place whilst the world actually produces enough food to feed all? By how ‘fairness’ is defined by the rules of the society, some people deserve more. Feeding the hungry requires the act of sharing regardless of ‘fairness’. To share is simple. Yet to share comprehensively is ever so difficult. May us keep learning to share.
